It’s the last day of the year. I get to provide one more rant before the calendar page falls to the floor.

For Sale?
One of the fun projects we get to do several times a year is to help a client sell their business. Sometimes it’s due to the age (or interests) of the entrepreneurial founder, other times (the sad times) due to the death or illness of the founder.
More reporting
So, this is about the time of year that we start getting those 1099-K forms.
You know, if you accept credit cards, the processors (third-party electronic payment networks, PayPal, Venmo, Square, and a few others) need to notify the IRS (and us) that we’ve collected funds via credit cards. To make sure that we properly report our income. (We all do- right?)
What’s it 2U?
It was six months ago when I first mentioned a change in one of the MOOC (massive open online course) programs out there. The one started by MIT and Harvard that became edX. It had survived for nine years, adding courses from a slew of other prestigious institutions, with some 40 million registered users around the world.
Hypocrisy
Ah, yes, hypocrisy.
It has become the basic tenet of one of our political parties.
Today (not the day you are reading this, of course) is a day in point.
It’s time to get ready
I don’t know if you get today off or Monday- or both. But, that makes one of those days the perfect time to take stock of your finances- and maybe find some ways to minimize your taxes.
mRNA is on the way…
So, yesterday I talked about how we need to shrink the unknown unknowns – and the known unknowns as much as possible. And, that was in the context of how we’ve learned more and more about SARS-CoV-2 and living with the pandemic.
Time for Correction
Put Yourself in the Corner
Having lived seven decades with respiratory issues, I have long known the rule (ok, this is going to be gross) that if on the first day you feel congested your mucous is green, you need an antibiotic. If the first day of congestion your mucous is clear, you are either suffering from allergies or a virus- but after a few days if it gets viscous and cloudy- or even green, it’s no longer allergies.
Comatose
You know, there’s been a slew of books discussing what is consciousness. And, we all have our own definition. (I think, therefore I am?)
