About a year ago (6 September 2018, to be precise), I posted a long piece about alcohol and our health.  Because a few articles had just came out declaring how dangerous alcohol was.  Yes, after years of reading that a glass or two was a  health promoting evening ritual, this “change of heart” was being promoted.

My shul took a trip.  Oh, it took more than a few trips.  We re-enacted the Selma to Montgomery mOur Response to Hatearch (after David Duke threatened our shul).  We went down to Houston to help after the floods.  My rabbi personally visited the Mother Emmanuel Church after the terrorist gunned down 7 praying parishioners.  We joined in the funerals for those gunned down at the Tree of Life/Or l’Simcha shul in Pittsburgh.

Water Homeostasis

We have two kidneys.  And, these two bean-shaped organs maintain some vital functions for us every day of our lives.  Sure, we recognize that they produce the urine that we excrete- the urine that contains body wastes.  They also purify the blood as it circuits from the heart to the rest of the body.
