Another Global Change Report?

We discussed the Global Change Research Program earlier this week.  You remember- the report that explains how badly climate change is going to prove for life as we know it. The one that TheDonald wanted to bury, so he had it released on the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Elections

I have spent many days in Taiwan.  And, when I first began visiting,  martial law was the norm.  It really wasn’t until 1990 that a democratically elected President actually headed up the country’s government.  (That’s despite the fact that Tricky Dick decided to recognize Beijing over Taiwan in 1979.  It’s also why every time I needed a visa, I had to literally drive from Charlottesville to DC to visit the “Taiwan Interests Section”.)

Bury the lead?

The trick to burying the news is to release it on a holiday or later in the afternoon on a Friday.  So, what better day should TheDonald pick to release a long-awaited report discussing how America (and the world) is failing to tame the climate change issues than on the Friday afternoon after Thanksgiving?

Notes to Remember

I went to a meeting the other day. (Hmm.  I really go to meetings at least thrice a week.  But, you’ll see why this one was slightly different in a jif.)  One that covered material with which I was not as familiar as I felt I needed to be. Which meant, of course, I needed to take notes.HP Envy 17.3
