Well, I did manage to link up with one of the most qualified infection specialists in Northern Virginia.  It turns out he also hails from Alexandria. (OK, no more, but he was among the very first to graduate from the newly integrated TC Williams High School of Alexandria.)  This doctor also arranged for me to have a PICC (peripherally inserted central cather) line insert.  In so doing, I would be able to self-administer intravenous antibiotics six times a day for about four weeks.

One little mosquito bite…

Now, it’s around Halloween, while waiting in line to enter the Chinquapin Swimming Pool (where we were checked for COVID and distanced from one another), one of my swimming buddies wanted to know what was going on with my leg.  I looked down, saw nothing, and said it looked like nothing.  And, so it went.

Most of you know that there are significant numbers of folks around the world that have theoretically recovered from COVID-19… except they still have symptoms- mental confusion, crushing fatigue, insomnia, muscle pain, soaking sweats, etc.   To date, we have not determined why these specific folks have the “pleasure” of continued COVID-19 suffering.

Another year, another tax benefit?

17 May is now the due date for 1040 tax returnsFirst of all- the IRS has just announced that the deadline for filing personal taxes has been extended to 17 May 2021.  They are having a hard time processing all the stimulus checks- plus the remnants of 2019 tax forms that were mailed in during the coronavirus shutdown.   Use the time wisely- file properly, accurately, and garner all the benefits you deserve!
