A computational biologist, Arnau Vich Vila, presented his PhD research at the United European Gastroenterology conference in Barcelona (October 2019). They want more!
Let’s assume we’re a solopreneur in Virginia or Arizona or Montana (or some other state).
And, we’ve picked up a great little contract from FlyHighBiotech in San Diego. And, another from IoT4U in Sunnyvale. (In case you don’t know, both of these cities are in California.) And, neither entity is expecting us to show up at their offices to share our results- everything will be done via Microsoft Teams, Skype, Whiteboard, and eMail.
Tattoo for you?
Oh, my.
I am about to open a can of worms with a bunch of rabbinic scholars.
Because the Tora prohibits humans from tattooing their body, from putting a brand anywhere on their person. (The only exception is when a bondsman or bondswoman refuses to leave one’s employ after the debt is paid. Then, they get their ears pierced. Who does your payroll?
Another one bites the dust.

This seems to happen at least every 12 to 18 months. And, the problem isn’t that these firms fail- it’s what they do to their clients when they do.
Waste Handling
So, there’s a new theory being proposed for Parkinson’s. One that seems to fit the pieces pretty nicely.
HELP!

But, first, we need a little background. As opposed to the feelings that exist across the USA, hitchhiking in Israel is a lot more common. (It is even more common in Israel than it was here in the states during the 1950s and 1960s.)
Even at 97, one can get a real charge!
I know I am an old fart. But, it is hard for me to realize that my kids don’t really know the “pleasure” of finding just the right battery for their flashlight, their radio, or other electronic devices.
8 days (not a week)
Tonight (this should automatically post around 6 pm on Sunday night) started a most unusual holiday. This is the last one that requires me not to work until April. (Good. Now, I can make some money!) The bible gives us very little clue about this holiday. It’s called the Eighth Day of Assembly (Shmini Atzeret, שמיני עצרת).
Someone’s in the kitchen with Dinah (not)
Some three decades ago, I began commuting from Charlottesville to Washington, DC, in particular to George Washington University. Being a train buff- and with an accommodating schedule- my trips were via the famed Southern Crescent. This glorious train made the round trip between DC and New Orleans.
