We are attempting to overcome this pandemic with one hand (maybe both) tied behind our backs.  We’ve seen the wholesale eradication of scientists and engineers that formed the backbone of our government- from agencies like EPA, Agriculture, Interior Affairs. We’ve wiped away all the professional leadership of the National Intelligence Agency.  More to the point, we’ve even seen the pandemic response team dismissed.

It’s time to rethink your corporate structure

I’ve told you all many times that the rules have changed significantly with the passage of the Tax Cut and Jobs Act (TCJA).  For example, for decades, we’ve avoided setting up C Corporations for our clients, because of the double taxation whammy.  But, now with the maximum (and minimum) tax rate of 21%- and the personal limitation on SALT (state and local taxes) at $ 10,000, it’s past time to reconsider our old rule of thumb.

You know that I read a ton of journals. Because it’s the best way I can discern what’s the next big thing, what’s coming down the pike. It’s amazing how many great products (or cures) arise because a brilliant researcher works against the tide, seeking out answers for questions no one else really believe exists.

Spring has Sprung

Ah, the first day of Spring.  Although our weather has seemed more like Spring since New Year’s.  (Maybe even it felt like Summer for a few days, too.)  We can thank this phenomenon to the climate change that we are experiencing. (Please don’t tell me you also deny climate science!).  That’s also why the sickness season really extends until May, nowadays.
