Free at last! Finally, Free at last!
So, we have been released from pandemonium. (You know, house arrest. For us, here in Northern Virginia- that was this past Friday.)
100% Specificity. 100% Sensitivity.
This includes items that one of my dedicated blog readers, Alana, asked me in private. I’m guessing many of you had similar questions.
Harnessing Academia and Industry
We are attempting to overcome this pandemic with one hand (maybe both) tied behind our backs. We’ve seen the wholesale eradication of scientists and engineers that formed the backbone of our government- from agencies like EPA, Agriculture, Interior Affairs. We’ve wiped away all the professional leadership of the National Intelligence Agency. More to the point, we’ve even seen the pandemic response team dismissed.
Not the cascade ride we want
You know that I read a ton of journals. Because it’s the best way I can discern what’s the next big thing, what’s coming down the pike. It’s amazing how many great products (or cures) arise because a brilliant researcher works against the tide, seeking out answers for questions no one else really believe exists.
De-Myth-esized
So, we know that we don’t know a s….d about this new coronavirus, HCoV-19 (which, when it is attached to our human cells, is the cause of the new disease, Covid-19).
Will this be the new fashion statement?
I remember the first time I traveled to the Far East. So many folks were wearing masks. It wasn’t until years later that I actually visited Chinatown in New York and saw the same phenomena.
