xFinity. Not ready for prime time.

So, I have been hounded by Comcast to upgrade my modem. Like it would really make a difference.

Oh, sure, Comcast advertises high-speed internet and great TV. Except my TV fails at least once a day. The OnDemand feature crashes mid-program and doesn’t remember where I was in the program. So, if I really want to watch the entire program, I have to start all over again.  (Fast Forward is disabled to force one to watch all the commercials.)

Today is a most special day. 70 years ago (the Hebrew date, which is the 5th of Iyar, is the one that counts), the State of Israel was created. A dream that had been unfulfilled for almost 2000 years.

To misquote Nikki Haley, one of the very few ethical members of TheDonald’s retinue, “I don’t get confused”.  (In case you don’t know about this, she was left hanging after she announced this past week that Steve Mnuchin would be detailing further Russian sanctions for their part in the Syrian poisoning, only to be “clarified”  by TheDonald.)

Come on!   You’ve been given much more time.

Because the 15th of April fell on a Sunday, the normal scheme of things would be that yesterday would have been the day to file your taxes.   Except the IRS relies on Andover (MA) to process a bunch of electronically filed forms.  And, the 16th of April was Patriot’s Day.
