The End is Near- Which Means So Is the Beginning

Today is the last business day (but not the last day) of Elul.  As such, I am nearing the end of my annual introspective season.  Sunday night (all Jewish days begin at night; the Tora says, “There was evening, there was morning, one day”) is Rosh Hashana (the Jewish New Year).

I know most of you are not Jewish. (After all, only 2% of Americans are- with an even lower percentage of humans worldwide.) But, I do know that many of you begin your new companies this time of year. I have always loved temperatures that breached the lower end of what most would consider comfortable.  It’s one of the reasons why living in Cambridge (MA) and Ann Arbor (MI) was a pleasure for me.    And, maybe this would be a great time to remind you (in case you forgot) that I don’t own a winter coat.  Oh, wait.  I don’t own any coats.   I simply don’t wear any.  Because it’s really never been too cold to need such an outfit.
