EBV Interfering

So, last Friday, we discussed the relationship between EBV (Epstein Barr Virus) and MS (Multiple Sclerosis).  That could be exciting- because should we develop a vacinne, it could eradicate the scourge of MS and its crippling affects.  (Right now there are some 1 million American citizens (plus many more around the world) suffering from MS.)

Masks, yet again

Here we are again. Shaking in our boots because of COVID-19.

Sure, this new variant (omicron) seems far less lethal, but it’s more prone to infect us. (That’s what happens when the SARS-CoV-2 virus adopts characteristics of the common cold virus. That’s what can happen when an uninoculated subject is invaded by the SARS-CoV-2 virus while suffering from – or about to – the common cold.)

Ch-ch-cholesterol scares?

102.  That’s my number.

Yup- that’s my total cholesterol levels.  Not just HDL (high density lipoprotein cholesterol, or “H”ealthy), but also LDL (low density lipoprotein cholesterol, or “L”ousy).  But, as I’ve often said, these are surrogate measurements.  Because we hadn’t identified the proper substance that indicates our chances for heart disease or cardiac complications.
