So, I’ve been telling you this has been the time of year that Jewish folks make their “resolutions”. Determine what is of value in their lives and how they can augment that. What we should do better, what we need to eliminate.

T-35. No, it’s really liftoff right now.
It’s time to vote.
Yes, I know election day is the 3rd of November. But, many of us are fearful of waiting in line, surrounded by folks who may elect to NOT wear a mask, who may be infected with COVID 19- but we want our voices heard.
Yom Kipur- the Day of Atonement
The 10th Day of Tishrei. That’s tonight’s (and tomorrow’s) Hebrew Date, which means it will be Yom Kipur. (The Tora [the bible] says – it was evening, it was morning; one day. All days start when the sun goes down.) The end of 40 days of introspection, repentance, and preparing ourselves to be better humans and to make the world a better place- with renewed vigor.

The statement at the head of the paragraph is what we say upon hearing of a death; Blessed is the one true Judge. Yes, in the middle of the trauma of death, we are blessing the Supreme Being.
Tonight- an auspicious eve
The month of Elul is about to end. As I wrote on one of the first days of Elul, when the period of self-assessment begins, we are 30 days into the 40 day period of determining how we can make our lives- and the lives of others- better. (You can also search for Elul in the index to the left and see more of my thoughts on this “resolution-making” period.)
An Operating Agreement is NOT optional.
So, yesterday, we spoke about the differences between sole proprietorships and single-member LLC’s (aka, disregarded entities). And, I said I would explain today why an operating agreement is not a useless frill, but a necessary document for LLC’s to have and use.
