So, yesterday, we discussed Kitty and Cliff Hach- those entrepreneurs who made water testing easy, reasonably priced, and reproducible.

Anybody Can
I read an obit the other day for a person I knew peripherally. Sure, I met her, spoke with her, even joined in a demonstration (NO!!! not that kind of demonstration) with her.
3D Bioprinting
The leading cause of death- still- is cardiovascular disease (CVD). And, when CVD is severe, the treatment of choice is a heart transplant. Not surprisingly, these are not always available- so the wait- assuming one gets on the list- can be 6 months, a year, or even longer. In the US that means that 1/6 of those on the list die before ever moving up to #1 on the list.
A Lawless Attorney General
Not many of us know what the Attorney General (AG) actually does. (Yet, the are pretty sure that Attorney General Bill Barr is playing fast and loose with the rules.)
Zoom, zoom, zoom!
I have always been enthusiastic about my ability to drive. I agree with Dr. Matthew Crawford (UVa), who penned the book, Why We Drive. His premise is that driving is a domain of skill, freedom, and individual responsibility. (In other words, driving is a means to test our skill at being free.)
Main Street?
So, we all know about the SBA programs that have been developed (check my index for PPP and EIDL, if you don’t know about those programs) to support those small (and some very NOT small) businesses that have been adversely affected by the pandemic.
Commissioned Art
I was reading the Wall Street Journal today (note- this was a few weeks ago by now), and they were talking about a ‘new’ trend. Interior designers are choosing art that’s been created (or curated) for the home or a specific room. Which got me to thinking about my mom.

Another 10000 Myth Busted!
Oh, good!
We can kill another maxim that has not a drop of scientific proof behind it.
The first one we killed was the 10,000 hours of practice to make one an expert. While Malcolm Gladwell can tell you a good story, he plays fast and loose with his facts. I hit the roof when my son told me about this rule because it made zero sense to me.
