I have been complaining about those folks who are refusing to be vaccinated. (Today, I will add in those who refuse to get their kids inoculated. As far as I am concerned, this is child abuse- and should make it possible to separate the parent from the child.)

I am sure, by now, that you heard that there is a polio case (where the subject is paralyzed) in upstate New York (Rockland County). That’s because a slew of religious Jews (known often as Charedi) have been snookered into believing that vaccinations are dangerous. It’s also why only some 60% of their children have been inoculated against polio. (One would think their devotion to learning and knowledge would prevent such stupidity from taking hold in their population.)

I went for my booster shot. About 3 weeks before I am departing for my trip to Israel. That way I should have the prime immunity against COVID, as I travel through the airport and am stuck on an airplane for 10 or 11 hours.
So, my son has tested positive for COVID-19. Again!
He is not alone. Many folks believed that, having been infected by COVID-19 once, they’d develop immunity to subsequent attacks.
You know, we all thought of restaurants getting creamed when the pandemic hit. After all, we weren’t allowed to congregate indoors. And, our government came up with some nifty programs to give them cash to keep their employees on staff- and their business able to roll.

So, we’ve been discussing all those long-term symptoms that accompany one’s recovery from COVID-19. One I haven’t discussed in a while has been cardiovascular complications. Again, like the other long-term symptoms, the manifestations do not require the subject to have been hospitalized with the disease. In the case of cardiovascular complications, COVID survivors are roughly 63% more likely to manifest a heart attack and about 52% more likely to suffer a stroke. But, there’s also heart failure, irregular heart beats, and a slew of other cardiovascular complications that are caused by COVID-19.
