I do have a fun holiday today. Normally, I’d be going on a picnic. But, since I’ve been dealing with this life-threatening illness, I can’t drive, I can’t walk. So, I’ll have to simulate my outdoor picnic at my dining room table.

I’ve reported how folks like WaWa and Sheetz are rearranging their gas station concepts to provide services for electric vehicles. Both of these chains have full service food vending operations inside- so folks wouldn’t feel intimidated waiting 15 to 30 minutes to get their vehicles charged as they await the food of their choice.

So, we’ve (that’s the CDC- Centers for Disease Control- and the FDA- the Food and Drug Administration) decided to hold off using the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. (And, we’ve (that’s the USA) never even considered using the ASTRA-Zeneca version of the vaccine.) Today is the day the authorities will release (pun intended) the J&J version from purgatory. (That is my prognosis. Below is my reasoning why.)

I had no idea. To be honest, I’m not sure many folks know about these issues, either.
I’ve been a dabbler in stock investing over the years. Sure, I’ve day traded, and there were years when I bought and sold stocks a lot, but generally, I now buy a few stocks and a bunch of mutual funds. But, my accounts are all at standard brokers- eTrade, Schwab, Fidelity.

I used to travel extensively; often accumulating ½ million miles a year as I commuted to California, visited clients, attended scientific/medical conferences, etc. around the world. And, there were plenty of accidents involving airlines. So much so, that I had more than my share of opportunities to experience airline crashes.
