Two years in a row, the US government has altered the date that we must file our personal taxes.

This week, I am going to talk about taxes- and for what they are used.

What made Poly great for me (besides it’s outstanding educational program) was that it was a ‘commuter’ school. Maybe 50 of 1500 kids were ‘residents’. Everyone else took the subway to and from school every day. So, my age was never a factor.

The 27th of Nisan. That’s today. Of course, back in 1943, this day fell on 19 April. It is but 5 days since celebrated the holiday of Pesach, the holiday of Freedom (Passover).
Tax Changes Coming Soon?
So, let’s consider what may happen in the next two years or so…
I’m talking about the tax changes that will probably occur under the Biden Administration.

The more things change, the more things seem the same…
Back in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s, we were bringing to market a pretty revolutionary device. It would be the size of a large toaster oven, and dispense purified (as in no dissolved solids and no microbes) water for drinking for the home. This was also before folks filled up canteens full of drinking water to take with them. Our goal was to satisfy the drinking needs of up to 6 folks in a home. (We had a larger unit that would let folks fill up great reservoirs and for larger families.)
Corporate Taxes
You know it’s coming. There is going to be a clamor- at least from the Democratic Party- to raise the rates on corporate income and those earning at least $ 400K a year.
We are dropping the ball
I sometimes (ok, oftentimes) wonder why folks keep letting things fall through the cracks. Sure, I can blame it on the Turtle, who wants no legislation passed, just wrong wing judges appointed. But, even he must care about folks who live in his state. Or, not, given the conditions that obtain in Kentucky right now…
