Let me first describe a situation for you. Then, let’s consider if it’s fair. And, then, I’ll tell you who it is about.
What a week. Leap year. Jack Welch passes the very next day. And, then Amo Houghton, who succumbed on 4 March.
I belong to a very select club. OK, it’s less select now than when I first joined up. But, still.
Tonight starts one of my children’s (and now, grandchild’s) favorite holidays, Purim (“Lots”). It also helped set my life’s compass. (I’ll explain this aspect later.)
March 7, 1965. The first attempt at the Selma to Montgomery March. 55 years ago- and despite the Voting Rights Act that was one of the primary results of this march- we still live in a country that suppresses the votes of minorities and the poor.
Given the Covid-19 pandemic, I am updating this post from 2016. (This is the third in the series about the pandemic. Here’s one and two.) Because – at least for now- the best way we can ensure that we are not among those visited by the virus is to wash our hands often- and correctly.
