An ever-changing series of rules
We have prepared scores of forgiveness applications for our clients.
“What?”, you ask?
Remember way back in April our government worked together (now that’s not a phrase we’ve often heard over the past four years) to pass a slew of laws that would help get America back on its feet after having been decked by the coronavirus pandemic. (Since then, the House has passed several extensions and improvements; the Senate under McConnell’s leadership (sic) has practiced being an ostrich; while TheDonald and his minions have flip-flopped routinely between wanting a bill or wanting to wait until after the election.)
Can I be forgiven?
No, I am not talking about beseeching forgiveness from my acquaintances in anticipation of Rosh Hashana.
Hurry Up!!!!
The new normal.
I’ve been working with our clients to help them pivot and pirouette; to reprogram their models to regain the confidence of their customers/clients. The results have been extremely gratifying.
Senate Acts
While this blog assumes you have kept up to date with the PPP, you may not be totally knowledgeable. Here are three quick reads to get you up to speed. The CARES Act and PPP. What’s Forgiveness. How to Ensure You’re Forgiven.
Make sure you ARE forgiven!
Can you be forgiven?
There still are funds left for this PPP program. If you haven't applied for your piece, now is the time. (The funds won't appear for 10 days or so.) Even if you are in Northern Virginia, NYC/LI, SFO, or LAX where the quarantine won't end for two weeks yet. That goes for restaurants- because the funds will help you weather the restricted openings that should alleviate some (not all) in 8 to 10 weeks. (My blog tomorrow will provide you further data on such scenarios.)
