Well, we knew this was coming. (OK. At least I did. Here’s my first mention back in 2019.)

A New Use for Chelation
So, today, we’ll first talk about a process that its been around for a while- and then discuss an exciting new use for this concept.
Read all about it
I try to get a balanced view of the news.
I read multiple newspapers every day- the Los Angeles Times, the Long Beach Press Telegram, the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, and the New York Times. (I probably should add the Christian Science Monitor to that list, but I only catch it a few times a week.) I used to read the Ann Arbor News, but it has dissipated into a weekly, so it’s a very occasional read for me.
Water Reuse
I am noticing more and more of our cities are considering (and some have moved beyond that- to implementing) the use of reused water for drinking purposes. Before you gag, let’s consider what the technical/scientific issues are- not the political ones.
חיים (Chayim)
חיים
You have to love language. Not because we speak it. (After all, most of us simply speak it badly.)
Intermodal Truckers
I’ve written about trucking and truck drivers before. A lot.
Those folks (the ones about which I write) are the ones who own their own tractors and carry trailers to various sites, making deliveries to one location or several along a route. (For example, our trucking firm had its own tractors and trailers, since we were transporting our own goods- or bringing in raw materials for our production facilities.)
SALT-free?
I haven’t written about how the states were handling the SALT (State and Local Tax) Limitations imposed by the Tax Cut and Jobs Act (TCJA) in a while.
Child Care…
Time to take on some big items.
Child care.
The issue is that society has taken care of this the wrong way for a very long time. Men decided that women should stay home to look after the kids. Because it is really not possible to work and take care of an infant- or even a young child- if one is working.
Is it still our Day of Infamy?
Every generation has its own catastrophe that solidifies one’s view of the world.
Back in the 18th Century, it was the Declaration of Independence (actually, the war that followed it). 7 decades later, it was the Civil War and the Assassination of President Lincoln. 6 decades later it was the Great War. 3 decades later- Pearl Harbor. (That attack occurred 8 decades ago today. )
Oh, my… (no, omicron)
We’ve discussed antibiotic resistance here often.
It comes about because we feed animals antibiotics to improve their yield. Yet, it also gives the microbes a chance to find ways to beat the antibiotic’s actions.
