To be honest, the best system I had ever seen for home dialysis (other than a full-fledged dialysate delivery unit for which most patients lack the space, lack the capital to acquire, and the technical ability to maintain) was the system developed by Home Intensive Care (HIC).
I admit it. I feel a little nervous telling you about this.

A little history today. Not too far back.
Back around 1900, a new chemical company was forming- Engelhard. Right about the time industrial chemists were finding out they needed a lot more engineering to scale up and produce the chemicals the world would need. And, chemical engineering was born about the same time.

“So?”, you ask. It’s when the destruction of the two Great Temples were effected. (Some folks will add that it’s the day when Moshe broke the tablets and when an idol was placed in the Holy of Holies of the Temple.) But, it’s simply the day the walls of Jerusalem were breached by both the Babylonians and the Romans- which led to the destruction of both of the Temples. (The other things ascribed to the 17th of Tamuz can be found in the mishna of the final chapter of Ta’anit.)
