Today is a most auspicious day in history.

June 6, 1944.  D-Day.

This was the day where thousands (156,000to be precise) of troops climb sheer cliffs from dawn to dusk (and then some), attempting to establish a toehold on the main European continent.  As a means to eradicate the Nazi regime that conquered the continent, establishing antisemitism as a rule of law.   This invasion was the largest naval, air, and land invasion in history.   It was this endeavor that leto the defeat of the Nazi regime in Europe and the liberation of the citizenry.

June 6, 1968.   Bobby Kennedy Assassinated

Right after winning the highly contest California primary,  Sirhan Sirhan shot Bobby Kennedy.   Who just prior to that was on the path to garner the Democratic nomination for President.   Where Bobby would have made tremendous changes for our country, one we never had the opportunity to experience due the Arab terrorist’s actions.   Without the death of Bobby, changes to America could have paralleled those that obtained in Europe after D-day.

We should reflect on today’s history as we work our way though the day.
