I don’t generally celebrate (American) Thanksgiving. My Thanksgiving is more in line of how and when the Pilgrims created the holiday. That was a version of Sukot, the harvest festival. More akin to Canadian Thanksgiving, which coincides with my holiday. (Think about it. What harvest would you reap in late November?)

Death by Cop
It was my grandson’s birthday party. I knew I wasn’t going to make it- but would spend the rest of the day with him, my daughter, and my son-in-law. I didn’t leave my home at the break of dawn, since I only had to be in Philly by 11 or so.
Are you protected?
We’ve just survived flu season. And, many of us did just fine this year because we got the flu vaccine.
Lights Out!
You know it. You’ve been told that you should turn off your electronic equipment 30 minutes (at least) before you go to sleep. To help your brain get ready for sleep.
Holding On
Solar. Lunar. Lunisolar. The three major calendars nowadays. The Julian calendar (the solar calendar) is probably the one hanging on your wall. The Moslem faith follows a lunar calendar, which is why Ramadan seems to happen in any season, since the lunar year is shorter than the solar one. My calendar, the Hebrew calendar, is lunisolar. That way the holiday of Spring stays in Spring; the holiday of Sukot, that harbingers the rainy season is situated properly.
Overnight success?
I often work with companies helping them develop- and introduce- new products. There’s a litany of zany ideas- at least that’s what they were called when we first introduced them.

Most of you know that I live in metropolitan DC. Which means that bsides all the cameras the Feds have installed to spy on us, we have a plethora of traffic cameras.

When I was little, I used to watch the sea at night. It was convenient, since it was right there. I loved watching the waves, the moon reflecting off the water.
