Minimize Jet Lag

It’s not just been the pandemic or my (almost) year-long illness.  No, it’s been the TSA and the airlines who have destroyed air travel.  Getting to the airport 2 hours early to twiddle one’s thumbs waiting for a plane that is way too often delayed, seats that have shrunk in size and stuffed together in narrower aisles- with terrible service to boot.

The Time Zone Shuffle Leaves Us Cold?

So, I am including these findings for two reasons.  One, the article the other day about mom’s microbiome and the potentiality for the infant to develop autism.  And, second, my recent set of travels – which thankfully left me without jet lag, although my friend had some symptoms.

Who’d a Thunk It?

When I travel, I routinely keep to my own time zone.  Unless my trip is going to extend beyond 4 days.  (Yes, that one time I went to Taiwan for a day- it was a little disconcerting to be off by 12 hours…)  It’s the way I avoid having any jet lag problems.  It helps that I also am more than able to sleep on planes, and don’t need a whole bunch of sleep, to boot.
