More reporting
So, this is about the time of year that we start getting those 1099-K forms.
You know, if you accept credit cards, the processors (third-party electronic payment networks, PayPal, Venmo, Square, and a few others) need to notify the IRS (and us) that we’ve collected funds via credit cards. To make sure that we properly report our income. (We all do- right?)
A retail ChemE
You know that despite all my additional training and education, I consider myself first and foremost a chemical engineer. Whether I am working in the medical profession, pharmaceuticals, water, finance, management, or tax- my approach is always to follow the rules of chemical engineering. Input-Output-Accumulation+Generation. (As you can surmise, that rule can equally apply to economics, biological systems, water treatment- even human interactions.)
More stuff I’ve been telling y’all
Did it really take awarding the Nobel Prize for folks to realize the Rick Berman, GOP governors, and a slew of other naysayers are full of crap? With their claims that changes in the minimum wage causes job losses. Or, the extended unemployment benefits the US offered during the pandemic meant folks wouldn’t work. (What THAT data demonstrated is that they wouldn’t work crummy jobs for dastardly low pay.)
What have I been telling ya?
L’Shana Tova, Y’all
Time to Accept
This is going to be a touchy subject for some of you. But, that’s mostly because you have no clue what’s really been going on in the world. (No, I am not trying to insult you….)
Impossible Preemption
Where do you stand on this?
I heard about this case and the findings drove me nuts.
SCOTUS won’t change the WFH dilemna
I do remember my MAD magazine. Which I loved long before I found out the founder was a chemistry major at Brooklyn Poly. (He dropped out.)
CMMC
First, to our friends in France. C'est le jour de la Bastille! Happy Bastille Day!
I have a long-time buddy and a bunch of clients who work for the government (ok, their client/employer is the DOD/NSA) and their only portfolio is cybersecurity.
