Every once in a while, I realize that the path I chose for my life has been pretty fortuitous. Sure, I had two failed marriages (one clearly my fault; the other clearly not)- but I was awarded three fantabulous children as a result, so- on balance- I still consider them fortuitous.
For years, my policy has been to get things done. Oh, sure, everyone says that. But, I mean get things finished. Which may mean I put in a 36 hour day (yes, I know how ludicrous that sounds- but it’s not a new day unless I go to bed), an 18 hour day, a 10 hour day- or a 2 hour day.
For decades, I’ve been telling my clients and friends that they are wasting their money buying vitamins. Because unless you don’t eat properly – or have a very specific condition (like the need for folate by pregnant women, calcium and vitamin D for some post-menopausal women, or those with macular degeneration needing antioxidants and zinc)- there is no value in taking these little pills (except to the manufacturers and vendors).
Most of you know I had a birthday. (OK, we all have them, but you know what I mean.) And, at least to me, it is not surprising that each year brings on some limitation of some sort (most of which only exist between my two ears). And, more than a few strands of grey. (You may not see them except in my beard- but I do!) Of course, I earned them…
