11 Years- and counting

Eleven years I have been posting at this site.  That’s how long Cerebrations has been sharing information with you.

I had long been sharing my thoughts and feelings; proffering my take on sci-tech, business, taxes and finance for decades before this. Which meant my clients and friends were subjected to frequent (some would say incessant) newsletters, eMails, letters, publications- oh, you get it.

Before I settled on this site, I began writing a blog- using various venues. But, those weren’t really serious attempts- at least, if one defines serious as making it part of one’s daily routine.

Then, on the 1st of June 2010, I decided to make it official.   I announced to the world I was going to prepare a blog routinely; that meant I would share my thoughts, come what may. And, once you make such an announcement, you have to carry it through or the world would know you willingly failed.

That last fact is what carried me through the first month. Oh, I am not saying I have never failed. Because, I have had doozies. Many doozies. Most of them have taught me great lessons. Not that I would not have liked to learn those lessons in other ways, but, sometimes, failure is the only method that works.

But, you- my esteemed readers- are what have carried me through this journey every other day. I am thrilled every day as I see the scores of new subscribers. Even on weekends, when I don’t post, you keep subscribing.  And, trust me, I read each and every name. (Even those of you who decide that Mr. Mxyzptlk [from my comic-book reading days] was not really that cryptic a name.

What makes you really feel compelled to employ an alias like that?  You do know that I promised- and I keep that promise each day- not to sell your names or send you trash mail.

I also appreciate those of you who don’t subscribe, but still read my post from time to time.  (OK.  Maybe you could read it a little more often?)  Because you are also why I write my blog.  To educate, to inform, to humor, to engage.

And, I don’t accept advertising. That’s true, even though it would make this blog a pretty lucrative affair for me. Because I made you a promise that I would provide you facts (and opinions based upon facts that you can verify), with bona-fide references, so you can learn and enjoy your day.  Without commercial endorsements.

11th Blogiversary

And, for that, for your readership and loyalty, I thank you. From the bottom of my heart. It touches me more than you will ever know.

May the Supreme Being bless and keep you.
May the Supreme Being shine its bounty upon you and be gracious to you.
May the Supreme Being maintain support for your endeavors and afford you peace.
Amen.

  2. Happy blogoversary, Roy, and there really is a way to pronounce Mr. Mxyzptlk’s name, but I am not going to try it. Oh, you mentioning him brought back some memories of my early and mid 60’s comic book reading and brought a smile to my face this morning!

  4. Happy Blogaversary (had to write that 5 times, spell check kept changing it saying it isn’t a word, it is now!! Just added it to the dictionary.

I enjoy your words and also appreciate your support as a fellow blogger. Blessings to you and your journey.
