A decade.  2600 posts, give or take.

Now, of course, you probably assumed that I was reticent for some 6 decades and then, poof, all of a sudden, I decided I had something to say.  (Yeah, I didn’t think you thought that, either.)

I’ve used a sandbox, a megaphone, eMail, synagogues, churches, political rallies, scientific societies- pretty much anywhere to share my thoughts.   Sometimes loudly, sometimes quietly.  (Yeah- more the former than the latter.)

And, while I say this is a decade, I really had started blogging before then.  But, after a while, I just stopped.  Until 1 June 2010.

That’s when I officially announced I was going to be blogging.  And, once it was announced and all official, I just followed through.

But, you folks made me continue.  I still thrill to see 100 to 200 new subscribers passing through the site every single day.  (And, really go googly-eyes when that number hits 500 or so. (Yes, I also recognize that some of you don’t want me to know who you are.  No one has gotten as creative with names as the Superman comic with Mr. Mxyzptlk, but some have been mighty close.)

At first I thought it was the post of the day-  but, I when checked to see what gets read and realize that it was you- my readers- who suggest posts to others that they read and decide they want more.  Thank you!   Thank you!

I also appreciate those of you who don’t subscribe, but still manage to read my posts from time to time.  (Maybe you could read them more often?)  Because you are also why I write my blog.  To educate, to inform, to humor, to engage.

And, I don’t accept advertising. That’s true, even though it would make this blog a pretty lucrative affair for me. Because I made you a promise that I would provide you facts (and opinions based upon facts that you can verify), with bona-fide references, so you can learn and enjoy your day.  Without commercial endorsements.

And, for that, for your readership and loyalty, I thank you. From the bottom of my heart. It touches me more than you will ever know.
