Shmini Atzeret
Last night (this should automatically post around 6 am on Thursday) started a most unusual holiday. This is the last one that requires me not to work until April. (Good. Now, I can make some money!) The bible gives us very little clue about this holiday. It’s called the Eighth Day of Assembly (Shmini Atzeret).
Migraines
My business partner for years has suffered from migraines. From that situation alone, I could attest to the debilitating effects of the malady. The fact that 10% of Americans (some 36 million people) also suffer means that many, many days of productive life are affected. And, most of those folks- and more importantly- most of everyone else has the wrong impressions about migraine.
How is college changing?
I was blessed with a visit from my eldest (daughter), her husband, and my grandson. It’s amazing to see the innocence, the insouciance, the love, and energy that this almost 4 year old has- and how he infects his parents with his essence. It made my home resonate.
Reading is Fundamental
So, I’ve lived in New York, Cambridge, Ann Arbor, Charlottesville, Los Angeles, and Alexandria. And, according to Amazon, my current abode (Alexandria) is “the most well-read city in America”.

You are reading this right now- because I don’t post video blogs and because reading is a most efficient modality to obtain information. Most of us are capable of reading 500+ wpm (some of us closer to 2000) and can accommodate changes in type design and size with ease.
