A first. We (that’s really the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California) finally produced a fusion reaction (that means hydrogen atoms fuse together and in the process liberate a bunch of energy) that theoretically produced more energy that it took to create it.

When the fog rolls in…
Fog.
The second a driver hears that word is the second s/he knows that life just got more complicated. Those 25, 50, 100 car pileups almost always have fog as their underlying cause. (The other exception- ice.)
3D Update, Part 4
One of the first projects with which I was involved when I moved to Michigan in the early 70s was a water recycling system for the home. (Don’t worry- this had relevance to 3D printing, I promise!) We added a very powerful ultraviolet light (UV) light to disinfect the water. From that UV technology, the ability to “cure” ink on silver aluminum cans was derived. Which greatly increased the demand for – and technology around- UV curing.
