Whew!

Just like American voters realized what was at stake in the 2022 elections for the Senate, the House, and the State offices (let’s hear it for voter sanity), the voters in California also recognized the folly that the SEIU_UHW (Service Employees International Union- United Healthcare Workers West) was trying to impose on dialysis providers.   For the third time in 5 years, the voters rejected the proposition proffered by the union to pressure Fresenius and DaVita to negotiate with the unions by a margin of more than 2 to 1.

It’s been more than a fewBeyond Meat years here in America when our stores were invaded by two versions of plant-based meat.  After the introduction of Beyond Beef and Impossible Foods, many of the conventional meat vendors tried to keep the plant based goods off grocery shelves.  When that failed, they (Tyson, Smithfield, Perdue, Hormel, Nestle, among others)  began devloping their own versions

Armistice Veterans Day (at least to Americans)

The decision had been negotiated and made.  While the Treaty of Versailles was signed on June 28, 1919, the official end  of the Great War,  was celebrated on the 11th hour of the 11th month in 1918.  It took longer to arrange the rules for peace. (Which actually turned out to be the rules to effect a Second World War!)
