I have tried to hold my tongue (those of you who know me understand how hard that really is), but I am fed up with the self-congratulatory messages the EU (and the USA) folks have been spewing.
The Ukraine is being overrun by a despot. Yes, Europe and the US have imposed financial constraints. Yet… it is clear that many of these same countries are buying oil and gas from Russia. Come on, guys. The Ukraines are dying- and you can’t take a little discomfort?
(I reiterate that President Joe and Mitch the Turtle need to lean on the frackers down south. To up their production of oil and gas NOW. Yes, they won’t make quite as much money, but you can bet that neither Russia nor Saudi Arabia are going to increase their production rates, which would cut their profit margins. It wouldn’t take much of an increase in production to force oil and gas prices to drop below the breakeven for Russia. Mark my words- that will cripple them.)
But, back to my biggest complaint about these self-congratulations.
Sure, Poland, Romania, and Germany are taking in the bulk of the dispossessed Ukraines. But, is it only I who remembers the recalcitrance of these nations to take in the displaced Syrians?
Oh, that’s right. The Ukraines are generally White Christians. Those are acceptable immigrants. The Blacks, the Indians, the Moslems that are also leaving the Ukraine…well, they’re not acceptable.
This anti-other attitude that has pervaded Europe for millennia needs to go.
And, it’s not just the slow walking these border guards are effecting for the non-White Christian refugees. Nope. The border guards insult the non-White foreigners and swing their batons when confronted with these folks.
And, it’s not just the Poles and Romanians. Even the Ukrainian officials are employing biased triage. You are White- we’ll let you go through. Non-white- we’ll write your passport numbers down on paper (slowly), we’ll have you proceed on foot (instead of transport), leave you abandoned in the cold for a few days without shelter – but maybe some food.
So, don’t tell how great Europe is doing.
And, where are the American planes taking these folks to our shores?
These facts are starting to penetrate the coverage of Ukranians leaving the country, and I had also read details of this in Time Magazine online. Let’s not forget the beatings that Ukranian border guards are inflicting on non white men, as reported by Time. Some things never change. Reality is always more complex than is reported.

Why is it that you and I plus a few other “regular” people realize we need to get fricken and the higher ups can’t see it??
