It’s incumbent

Most of you haven’t heard about voting tomorrow.  After all, it’s not till next year that we have a Presidential election.  Neither do we vote for our Congresspersons or Senators this year.  (Those happen in even years, unless someone dies or resigns.)

But, for many of us, we vote for state legislatures and local representatives.  Things that radically affect our day-to-day living.

Every single election is important.  (Not to mention that it helps citizens develop “muscle memory”, to always come out to vote.) Yes, we are not deciding on a replacement for TheDonald- or for his re-election. But, there are important votes that we make tomorrow.

Kentucky, Louisiana, and Mississippi pick new governors.  The Commonwealth of Virginia, and the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, and New Jersey have legislative elections.  There are a slew of local races around the country.  Even three special Congressional elections. (Those resignation/death replacements I mentioned above.)

If you decide to stay home and not vote for your local/state choices, then you really lose all standing in how things will be for the next two- or more years.

Vote

So, things are up for grabs. Ergo, make sure you vote today. It is your duty as a citizen. And, we (the United States) need all the help we can get.

Just Vote.

  1. I early voted for the first time.only two races on my local ballot but was also a funding initiative for our local library, which depends on tax funding. All elections are important, as you point out.
