I wasn’t going to do this. And, I’m sorry if you get pissed off that I am- but, I really don’t give a damn when it comes right down to it.

A model mouse?
I remember first reading about Dr. Braak almost two decades ago. He proposed then that Parkinson’s disease may be a “gut” outcome. Yes, I know it’s a brain disorder, but Braak thought it started in the gut and traveled to the brain. (This theory has become known as the Braak hypothesis.)
The Future for Kidney Care
An Executive Order.
Yup. TheDonald issued another one on the 10th of July; this one will change the way dialysis and transplants happen in America.
If you can buy a better car…
Another industry titan has passed away. This one almost ran for President. But, given his management style (evisceration, anyone?), his thin skin, his off-the-cuff remarks (this was before Twitter), that never happened. Those were considered permanent impediments- until TheDonald.
CII
Can you imagine living to 102? I sure can’t.
But, Dr. George Rosenkranz just succumbed his earthly habitat at the ripe old age of 102.
Qualified Business Income
I have written about the QBI (qualified business deduction) a few times. And, it is now the law of the land- affecting each and every pass-through entity.
Are you qualified?
Have you noticed a trend in going public?
It used to be that firms would go public in the first few years of their existence. Now, they go public after 5, 6, 10 years of existence. There’s a reason for that.
What’s New?
July 1.
In the area of the country where I live, DMV means one of two things. The dreaded Department of Motor Vehicles, where waits can be long enough to keep one engaged (and enraged) all day long. But, it also means the DC, Maryland, and Virginia region. And, that means on 1 July, it’s the time when many a rule changes forever.
Charity begins at home? Nope- no more.
Are you going to be surprised that charitable donations are down this year? I’m certainly not.
Given the change to the tax code- rendering fewer people capable of itemizing deductions- this should have been the most obvious conclusion, besides the fact that the new tax code favors Republican states and the rich.
Yankee Doodle Went to Town
The Fourth of July.
No, I won’t be talking about how TheDonald has hijacked the holiday and will be making it a crass political statement- one all about him. (Nothing else ever counts for him, anyway.)
