MIT. PhD. M-o-n-e-y
Back when I was in college, there was a truism. Engineering programs were designed to make everyone fit in a square box- the original “we will make you equal” employer concept. Thankfully, that was true for all the disciplines except mine- Chemical Engineering.
The Do-Loop
Over the past two posts, I discussed a loophole in the tax law that benefits the wrong entity. (Instead of benefiting charitable needs, the DAF [donor-advised funds] tend to benefit the donor, with little regard to those who are in need. Yet, the charitable benefit has afforded one family to extend an olive branch to the public, by sharing some 1000+ pieces of art with the public– albeit 500 folks a day, maximum.)

I’ve been living in the DC area for some 30 years now. And about a decade ago (right after the curator, Emily Wei, married her billionaire boyfriend and owner of this art, Mitchell Rales, in 2008), I heard about a private museum that existed in the Maryland portion of the DC suburbs. And, tried to cajole an invitation to view the art therein.
DAF
Most of you know that we provide tax and financial services to small businesses, entrepreneurs, and mid-sized entities. We are proud that our services meet or exceed the capabilities those that the privileged few (the 1%) seek out and use- at a fraction of the cost. So that everyone can get the chance to pay the lowest amount of taxes required by law.
What about my taxes?
If you have been reading my blog every day (WHAT? You don’t? Shame on you !) , then you know I have just had a book published. About the new tax law, of course. (There’s at least one more book- NOT about taxes- on its way.)
The Front Line
Hatred of Others MUST Cease.
So, today is “fake” Columbus Day. Another example of our government manipulating events so we have 3 day weekends. The real Columbus Day is Friday- right after the new moon of (Mar) Cheshvan. It has the moniker ‘Mar’ (bitter) because it is the month of the flood- the one Hashem inflicted upon the world (or certainly the bulk of the Middle East)- way back when.
33, 32, 31…
I can’t believe that at least two years after we knew foreign governments were attacking our electoral process, we have federal and state governments still taking their rectal temperatures. With their heads. (You do get the image, right?)
