Don’t worry- that’s only the sound my bones make as I walk. Or, maybe I mistook that sound for the wheeze emanating from my lungs.
That’s what happens when you get older. And, since today’s my birthday, I can wax on (or is that wax-off?) on that subject.
Thankfully, my brain hasn’t filled with cobwebs. I can still add several numbers in my head (you know, the ones with commas), solve complex problems, and even develop new processes and products in a heartbeat. (No, not every heartbeat, but often enough!)
I may no longer come up with that new product or process every two or three months- but my creative juices have let me help companies grow, keep more of their money (you know, it’s the BOTTOM line that counts), bring out new products routinely.
And, I thank you- my readers-for that, too! Because you read my blog posts, so I am forced to think of new things to explain, to discuss, and to share. So, you force me to keep exercising my brain.

Happy birthday indeed! As I have watched my mother have a decline of memory and overall thought processing I realize just how important the mind is. It’s great to be wrinkle free and all that, but a mind is a terrible thing to waste (or lose)…. Glad you have so many interests and friends to keep you challenged!
Oh, no, Alessa… We want our minds to be wrinkle laden- those crevices are the locations for our great ideas…

Happy Birthday. It’s hard to believe that we are a year older. My birthday is 9-24. I don’t think I think as old as I am or as I thought I would think when I got this old. If that made sense, you are still in top shape.
