My 1st Blogiversary!

It’s been a year since I began writing this blog (Cerebrations; you’ll see why I make this distinction later).  At first, I entered posts twice a week.  Since I research everything I write (getting real references, comparing data and research from various sources, checking facts that I proffer to my clients routinely to give you the reference, etc.) each one took about an hour. And, I kept my blogs to 300 words, so they could be read in a minute.

As I continued, eZines notified me that blogs should be 400 to 500 words.  And, I became classified as an expert blogger there.  I moved the blog off WordPress.org (thank you so much) onto www.cerebrations.biz, so I was not subject to the vagaries of another’s control.

I joined a few blogging groups to learn what others did- and found that daily posting seems to be better than twice a week.  Now,  except for holidays, I post five times a week.  And, you have been most gracious to visit, comment, and engage.  I love that part best- because it hones the message and insures I provide the best posts I possibly can.

Over the year, I have posted primarily about technology, business management, and medicine.  (Within medicine, the posts have been primarily about brain related diseases/disorders and dialysis.)  244 posts in all (this is #245).

Today is the 1rst of June, a new month.  The new moon also appears today around 3 pm (EDT).  Years ago (on the lunar calendar), this was supposed to be the start of a new life for me.  It was- and went.  But, I have a wonderful present from that- my third child.  No laments.  And, no laments about life, in general, either- that’s not my style.

I have considered the goals for my blog for the coming year.  The KPI are defined.  But, I have 1 KPI for which I need your help- what do you want to see here?

That means, if you have a problem that you think others may have, write me.  If I can provide an answer that could apply to others, I will try to develop a solution that can be posted.  If it is too specific to you, then that would be consulting (and confidential).  That won’t appear here.

You have my eMail.  You have my twitter accounts.  Keep me in YOUR loop.

Thanks- really!Roy A. Ackerman, Ph.D., E.A.

    1. Janine, I always said I would do it. But, as many have observed, once you start, your commitment is critical- so I procrastinated. I never wanted to start and leave the site hanging- and the requirement to develop a concept and publish it on a schedule was a daunting proposition.
But, it seems we both prevailed…

  2. Happy Blog anniversary!
Though I came to your blog through the TLC club I have loved your posts not only because they speak so much of change but also because they speak of a brighter, better future! I have always enjoyed your posts, loved your feedback and also your sense of humor. Even if the TLC thing gets over (I am hoping not!) you have me as your regular blog reader.

Phew….a post without chemistry words! I am smiling 🙂

  3. Happy Blogiversary Roy!!! Congrats! I surely would have thought you were blogging for longer as well 🙂

With all the expertise you have and tidbits of advice you provide, just keep on pressing on. I think you’re doing a fantastic job as I always learn something new from you!

    1. Kesha, I am so glad you dropped in. But, you missed the cake. I shared it with everyone who visited on the 1st- and there was nary a drop left! Now, you’ll have to wait until my son’s birthday for the next cake (4th of July, of course!)

Thanks for the grand wishes, as well.
      Roy
