Now, this is what happens when folks like PG&E (Pacific Gas & Electric) fail to improve our electric grid. (You have been hearing that the heat dome in California will force the state grid to either shut down or reduce power dramatically.)

Energy Provisions in the Inflation Reduction Act (sic)
We’ve already talked about the push for alternative energy sources that are part and parcel of the Inflation Reduction Act (sic). $ 370 billion for clean energy and climate control is certainly a big investment.

Credit for buying an EV
Let’s get real. This new bill, the misnamed Inflation Reduction Act, does include a tax credit for those of us (who earn less than $ 150K [Single]/ $225K [Head of Household]/ $300K (Married) who purchase electric-powered vehicles (EV)

A different view of dialysis?
I ran across this little blurb- and it piqued my interest. The largest carbon capture project in the UK plans to convert the carbon dioxide it captures into sodium bicarbonate. In particular, the goal is to use that sodium bicarbonate for use in dialysis, among other needs. That’s 40,000 tons of carbon dioxide a year (right now, the capture facility capacity is 36K tons). Amazingly, that means this would produce enough sodium bicarbonate to supply some 750K patients a year.
Profiteering
I know, I know. You are pissed as hell that gasoline prices are over $ 5 a gallon. And, that means freight prices are zooming up, so our food and sundry items are also manifesting inflationary increases.
