Airline Travel Rules Improve
I used to love to travel. Up until 9-11. When the rules changed. Getting to the airport hours before the flight, the abrogation of controls that the government had on the airlines (which let them put a slew more passengers on the same planes, making it impossible to enjoy the flight as we are cramped together), and a slew of other inconveniences.

Labor Day- and Union Support
It’s the first Monday in September. That means today is Labor Day. (It also used to mean that school would start tomorrow- but that calendar is no longer in vogue. Some schools started last week and some even began two weeks ago.)
Affordable Care Act, Medicaid, and the Pandemic Emergency
We’ve spoken how the Inflation Reduction Act (sic) includes many provisions that were started when the pandemic hit; in this case, an increased subsidy for those signing up for the Affordable Care Act. Had the Inflation Reduction Act not been passed, those folks would have seen a tremendous increase in the costs of their health insurance. And, with the public health emergency declaration, the ability to enroll in Medicaid was enhanced (and now continued)- so much so that 88 million folks are so enrolled (a 17% increase since the start of the pandemic in February 2020).
